Our Kenya Adventure Tickets Arrive
It’s 31st May, just over 3 weeks before we depart, and our Tickets have arrived, we are now getting excited.
The pack consists of:
- A Magical Kenia canvas bag
- A nice bag and useful as you can’t use plastic bags in Kenya.
- A Somak Holidays wallet
- Useful to keep our Tickets and documents in.
- Somak Holidays Essential Holiday Information booklet –
- Tells me to see my GP 8 weeks before travel, but they don’t send it to me until 3 weeks before travel.
- Talks about film for cameras, and travelers cheques, how long ago was this written?
- Somak Baggage Labels
- We are advised to use these as they will help Somak find us at the airport and will enable them to identify our luggage during the holiday.
- Somak Hotel, Holiday, and Extras Vouchers
- These evidently need to be handed in at the places we stay / visit.
- Airline Itinerary
- Basic details of what flights we are taking with which airlines and when.
- ETKT Itinerary/Receipt
- Although this is printed and says it may be required at check-in evidently this is an Electronic ticket.
- We have one of these for each person in our party.
- Information on here includes the Airline booking locator which is a 6-digit code. By putting this code and my surname into the Kenya Airways app or web site I can see the flights, select my seats, upgrade, select any special meals and will be able to Check-in electronically a day before the departure date. However, it doesn’t look like I can use an electronic boarding pass and will have to print boarding cards. See our section on flying to Kenya.
- Holiday Itinerary
- This give a full list of where we should and when we should be there.
- 2 Kenyan Bracelets.
